Montessori del Sol is excited to partner with Montessori By The Sea school in continuing an authentic Casa Program for our Kindergarten graduates!

Priority will be given to Montessori del Sol students going into Grade 1 at Montessori By The Sea once their re-enrollment process has been completed for current students.

Casa Program

Dr. Montessori observed that when children grow up in an environment that is warm, encouraging, and stimulating to the senses they will spontaneously explore, create, investigate and ask questions. Dr. Montessori believed that learning should be relaxed, comfortable and a natural process. We aim to create well-balanced classrooms with respect to age and developmental needs of the children. Montessori del Sol strives to establish a Casa classroom of mixed age groups in order to ensure social development and the true Montessori experience.

"There are many things which no teacher can convey to a child of three, but a child of five can do it with the utmost ease. To understand what the older ones are doing fills the little ones with enthusiasm. There is a communication and a harmony between the two that one seldom finds between the adult and the small child"

~ Maria Montessori

Kindergarten Program

Montessori Kindergarten (Full Day): 8:00am-3:00pm

Having already built strong relationships with their teachers and peers, our Kindergarten students are confident and comfortable in the classroom. This sense of security allows them to focus more deeply on learning rather than adjusting to a new school setting, giving them a solid foundation and a strong academic advantage.

Lessons are presented individually or within small groups of mixed-age children, with the teacher following the child’s pace and unique learning style.

Our KG Curriculum Includes:

  • English

  • Mathematics

  • Science

  • Life Skills Education

  • Social Emotional Learning Program

  • Art, Design, Technology and Music

  • Languages

  • Physical Education

  • Social Studies, Geography, Culture and Religious Education

KG students also experience opportunities to go on field trips, participate in the Inter-Primary School Sports Day, and co-host our annual Christmas concert, composing and performing their own songs.

We are licensed by the Education Council as a Kindergarten program.

If your child will be turning 5 before September 1st, please reach out to us for further information about our offerings for the Montessori Kindergarten year!
