Application Fee

There is a one-time non-refundable application processing fee of CI$200.00. This fee must be submitted along with a completed application form in order for the application to be processed. 


Acceptance

Each application for admission is assessed individually. Montessori del Sol reserves the right to place children to maintain balanced classes with respect to number of children, their ages, individual needs, and the family’s compatibility with the Montessori philosophy.

Upon notice of acceptance, parents/guardians will be required to sign an enrolment contract and secure placement with a non-refundable commitment fee. Acceptance is determined by the child's developmental readiness for our program and by the parents' understanding of the Montessori approach. Please also note that all new enrolments are on a trial basis. 


Re-enrollment

Existing families will be given priority for re-enrolment of each new school year. We will then begin to offer spaces to siblings and then to families on our waiting list once the date has passed for re-enrolment. 


Annual Administration and School Resources Fee

An annual non-refundable school resources fee is due ahead of each new school year which assists in the advance purchase and securing of consumable items and administrative-related costs for each child. For the 2023/24 school year, this CI$450.00 payment is due when securing your child's place.


Online Payment

Montessori del Sol is a registered payee with Butterfield Bank. Alternatively, payment can be made at the counter of any Butterfield Bank branch to the following accounts: KYD 02-101-033379, USD 01-201-033379. 


Late Payment

Monthly installment payments are due by the 1st of each month. A late charge of CI$25.00 will automatically be added to any accounts not settled in full by the 5th of the month. There is an additional late fee of CI$50.00 for tuition that is not paid within 30 days of the due date.


Withdrawal From School

A minimum of 30 days written notice is required in the event of child's withdrawal from their commitment to the school program. Where more than 30 days written notice is provided, tuition may be refundable on a pro-rata basis. In the event of a child’s withdrawal from the school after the school year has commenced, tuition will be refundable on a pro-rata basis. Parents will be responsible for an amount equaling one month of tuition in the event that we do not receive 30 days written notice.


School Year and Camps

Although our tuition is based annually, we also offer semi-annual and monthly installment payment options for your convenience. Please note that there will be no refund of school fees in the event of disruption to the regular school calendar due to catastrophic events or circumstances beyond our control.

Montessori del Sol follows traditional school holidays therefore the school closes for Christmas and Easter holidays as well as half-term breaks. A detailed list of term dates and school holidays will be sent out prior to the start of the school year. All new children will attend a series of phase in days prior to their first full day in attendance. Details will be sent out prior to September.

Montessori del Sol offers a camp program during half-term break camps in October and February of each year. Additional camps may be available during Easter and the month of August, and information will be provided ahead of time in the event that these will be offered each year.
