Mission Statement

Our mission is to educate and nurture young children in a joyous, supportive and beautiful space created by excellent teachers and staff following the Montessori approach to education.

Our Aim

Our goal at Montessori del Sol is to assist children in developing the skills, knowledge, and attitudes to become caring and productive members of their community. Our environment fosters children to be respectful of themselves, others, and their surroundings.  We have created an enriched learning environment and employ certified Montessori teachers who are devoted to working collaboratively with parents to achieve this goal.

The Montessori Method

The Montessori philosophy and approach to educating children is a holistic method for each child’s individual development.  With this in mind, we prepare an environment that fosters independence, concentration, and self-confidence. Our classrooms offer children the experience of working with specialized materials developed by Dr. Maria Montessori which encourage the overall development of the child. The children can choose materials freely, according to their abilities and interests, and as such, are provided with an individualized learning program. Therein lies the beauty and uniqueness of the Montessori method! In addition, our method allows children to learn at their own pace according to their own capabilities in a non-competitive environment. The children experience the excitement of learning through indirect means rather than being pushed academically. This helps cultivate the child’s own natural desire to learn, thus beginning the lifelong process of education.
